In November, Carrie Underwood told fans that she broke her wrist after a fall down the steps outside her Nashville home. Now, the “Jesus Take the Wheel” singer has shared another, more serious injury resulting from the fall.

“There is also another part of the story that I haven’t been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up,” she wrote to fans. “It’s crazy how a freak random accident can change your life.”

Underwood went on to explain that doctors put “between 40 and 50 stitches” in her face during a lengthy surgery.

“I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different,” she continued. “I’m hoping that… the differences are minimal, but, again, I just don’t know how it’s all going to end up.”

Pink Opens Up About Her Biggest Fear As A Mother

In a new interview, Pink has revealed how her difficult childhood has impacted her as a mother to Willow, 6, and Jameson, 9 months.

“Because of what I went through being a girl and being a kid and being a little bit different from everyone else, my biggest fear is self-esteem for my kids,” the singer, 38, said. “Because I didn’t have any and I treated myself really badly. I didn’t expect other people to treat me with respect and I didn’t demand it and I didn’t have boundaries and I gave my power away over and over and over.”
